Volunteering

Urban Saints relies on an army of wonderful, passionate volunteers. Not only are most local groups run by volunteers, but the majority of our local, regional and national events, holidays and mission experiences are planned and staffed by them too.

Volunteers are our primary team players, working at the 'sharp end' to bring faith, hope and love to this generation. As a growing movement we are keen to find more volunteers who are willing to serve in the many roles we have available. We have volunteering opportunities to fit every skill set and lifestyle: from leading a weekly group to pitching tents for an annual holiday; from organising events for young people to promoting Urban Saints to local churches.

The full list is probably endless, so here's a few suggestions for ways you can get involved:

Volunteering at URBAN SAINTS westbrook

Westbrook is Urban Saints' primary residential centre which consists of a large victorian house set in 18 acres of beautiful grounds near Ryde on the Isle of Wight. The team that look after the centre are small, so volunteers are essential in making sure the centre is well maintained and guests are given the best possible welcome.
Volunteering at the centre is not restricted to set periods of time and could be for just a weekend or for a few months.

For more info on volunteering at the centre please contact us at westbrook@urbansaints.org (or visit the 'Join The Team' section of the site)

Local groups

There are over 1200 churches and local community groups that subscribe to Urban Saints' award winning, online, teaching resource called Energize. Why not help one of these groups and get involved in week-to-week, relational youth and children's work in your own community? Most of these groups would happily welcome brand new team members so if you know a church connects with Urban Saints, what are you waiting for...!

Help on a holiday (...or mission trip... or...)

How about a one-off volunteering experience? You could join one of our local or regional Holiday teams over the summer... or get involved in one of our community projects or missions. To find out what is happening in your region contact the Support Centre at email@urbansaints,org

Become a Trustee

If you are really passionate about Urban Saints and want to help shape the future direction and strategy of the movement, you might want to consider joining the Board of Trustees? Obviously, we don't welcome just anybody on to the team, but if this is an area you would consider helping with, please get in touch with Urban Saints.
